Vini toscani. Chiappini Giovanni.

If you are a wine lover, you cannot miss the tasting in the Tuscan countryside as it allows you to fully enjoy the wine experience through the culture of the land with its products. I would recommend this experience not only to wine lovers but also to those who love nature or simply are curious explorers.
Why not book a weekend in the Tuscan countryside?

Before the wine tasting.

A few kilometers from Pisa there is a beautiful medieval village Bolgheri.

As is known, Bolgheri is a very suggestive place. There are numerous restaurants and wine bars where you can stop to eat. However, the tasting I recommend you do in a farm that is located within the organic farm in the care of the Bolgheri Doc, nestled among the vineyards and olive trees of the estate, so every corner will give you picturesque views.

During the visit, discover the history of the founding family and the territory, so you can understand how wine and oil are born. Tasting lasts about an hour and a half. To start, presentation of the products, visit of the winery and finally, tasting with a taste of 4-5 wines, of which there are white and red, representative of the estate. In conclusion, highly qualified personnel illustrate the organoleptic characteristics. I suggest you one of my favorite red and it is “Le Difese”, to buy click here.

How to taste wine. The test of the palate.

Take a sip of wine and hold it in your mouth. How long? There is no such thing, so take the right time to allow your taste buds and palate to perceive the flavors. In this way you can understand what wine it is: light, sweet, soft, fresh, pungent, velvety and so on.

Wineries that I recommend for tasting.

Personally, I love wine and mini-vacations. When traveling, everything is not always perfect, for this reason, I recommend the cellars that I have personally tested and that I liked:

  • Chiappini Giovanni. (Bolgheri ). Video
  • Castello di Bolgheri (Bolgheri)
  • Ornellaia. Consigliabile prenotare con molto anticipo. (Bolgheri)
  • Marchesi Antinori (Chianti classico)
  • Castello Pomino (Firenze)
  • Castello di Ama (Gaiole in Chianti Siena)
  • Guado al tasso (Antinori Bolgheri)
  • Tenuta Buonamico (Montecarlo Lucca)
  • Segreto Tenuta Mariani ( Versilia)

And finally, remember: Wine is good for health and mind, but only if it is in small quantities of course :).
