Style Liberty

But first let’s see what Liberty style is, how to identify it and where it comes from.

Liberty style also call Floral style so we can imagine that it has a link with nature. In reality it is really true is a style that incorporates natural themes. It is also called Modern Style art, Art Nouveau, Sezesionsstil. Let’s say that each country called it different. To get an idea of what Liberty style is, I give you an example of Gaudi. It is a very ornamental style with the sensitivity of the movement and the asymmetry of the lines. It is reflected in the sculpture and architecture painting. In the early nineties, Brussels became famous for this, and from this period, Liberty became fashionable.

Viareggio is a fairly small town, about 62 thousand inhabitants and is above all a seaside resort but with beautiful historic Liberty-style buildings. In past years Viareggio was chosen as a seaside resort for the Lucca bourgeoisie. In fact, thanks to them today the city of Viareggio is also a cultural and artistic location.
