One of the things to do in Versilia is definitely cycling. You are asking yourself what bike routes to do? These are 3 simple routes suitable for everyone but also very pleasant with the Tuscan landscape made of cypresses, olive groves and farmhouses. Precisely, they are short trips but of great pleasure for the eyes and certainly not to be missed. Routes in complete safety as these are very easy routes with slight slopes, so they are suitable for everyone, in my opinion, to be tackled calmly, just like that you can admire every landscape.

Bike route 40 km.

The first excursion will start from Montemagno, right where the Via Francigina passes. Immediately downhill towards Camaiore then, pass over the pedestrian hills and continue towards the plain through the bank of the river towards Pietrasanta we will pass through the narrow streets of the plain to reach small Athens; the city is in fact home to many world-famous sculptors. For those who want to, they can climb up to the town of Capriglia through a pleasant climb immersed in olive groves, while those who don’t feel up to it, meanwhile can wait for the group sitting comfortably at the bar in the square. However, if you continue, you will be rewarded with one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the area on the underlying Versilia, from Livorno to La Spezia. Return to the seafront road in Camaiore.

Bike route 30 km.

The second excursion will take place during the day on the hills of Val Freddana. Departure on a slight descent on a slight slope towards Lucca. We cross the Freddana up to Torre where we will turn towards the hills dotted with olive groves in the Billona area. A splendid little road will lead us in a pleasant panoramic tour at the end of which we will find ourselves in a farm producing DOC wine of the Lucca hills. We will taste and get to know the wines produced locally, and so, calmly, we will take the way back home. We will arrive at the Magno and at this point relax and welcome back buffet.

Bike route 50 km.

The third excursion will take us in two pearls of tourism in Tuscany, Lucca and Pisa. We carry ourselves in a van on the outskirts of Lucca. After that we will enter a real jewel of a medieval city of unique beauty surrounded by walls of 500 years and are completely cycle-free. We will grant ourselves a coffee in the amphitheater square, a jewel of a square built on Roman remains, so we will take us to nearby Pisa, passing though the cycle paths on the river park that unites the two cities. A beautiful dirt road to enjoy in peace with our bicycle. In Pisa we will have a real historical and artistic journey that from the Pizza dei Miracoli will take us to the splendid lungarni passing from the center. The road of rhythm will engage us in a light ascent 150 meters on the cole that separates the two cities. Return with the van to the Great and in conclusion the buffet.
